HUMAN RIGHTS

0. Take the Quiz: do you know about rights? what's your score? 3

1. What are human rights?
These are the rights that every human being automatically qualifies for at birth. They can't be denied because of the colour of one’s skin, religion, age or other personal factors. Central to the concept of human rights is the protection of human dignity. Human rights are manifested by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which was adopted in 1948 by the United Nations.

2. When did human rights start?
In 1948 the United Nations made the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This is a widely respected document that says what the United Nations believes are human rights.

3. Why were they created?
They were created after the Second Wold War, in the most horrible century of violence. After that, people began to think about all these violence to humans, so some people thought about essential rights that humans must have.

4. How many human rights are there?
There are 30 human rights.
5. Which human right were you not familiar with?
I didn’t know that it was a human right, the right of copyright. I think that it was only the author’s right.

6. Choose one human right and discuss:

- Is it fully respected in your country today? THE RIGHT TO LIFE. I think it’s not respected in our country today, for example, in gendered violence, a lot of husbands kills their wife because they think that men are better and they can do all they want. Also there are a lot of people who committed crimes; they don’t have the right to take away the life of others.
And when a lot of girls or women become pregnant but they don’t want it and they abort? Aren’t they taking the life away of others?

7. Are Humans rights relevant in the world today?  why? Yes, because are a universal laws that nobody can takes you away and you must know them. Even though all this rights must be knew by somebody, there are a lot of people who doesn’t respect the basic rights for a human. This is something that we can’t remove, but we can contribute.

DESCRIPTION - PODCAST

Now im going to describe my friend Ariadna:

Ariadna is one of my best friends, she is not really tall, as me, and she has got a brown eyes, and her hair is brown too. She is brown-skinned and she has got a curly and long hair. Her noise is little and her lips are fat. When she puts lipstick on them she looks so good!

She listens to me when I need and always she can, she helps me. I laugh a lot when I am with her because is a person who likes laugh, she is really funny. Her way of laughing is so contagious!

I think the best of Ariadna is that you always will know what she thinks, if something likes her or not, because when whatever doesn’t like her, if she doesn’t say to you without problems she says to you with her facial expression.

We are so similar in different ways, so I think it’s one of the reasons we are best friends.

AWESOME!

Until some time ago, the tallest man in the world was Bao Xischun, who was named “The tallest man in theLeonid Stadnik, who lives in Ukraine, he has got 37 years old. If Bao Xischun measures 2.36 meters, Leonid Stadnik measures 20 centimeters more than the Chinese, i.e. 2.56 meters! He weighs approximately 200 kg and his size’s clothes is 60.
This man has got a lot of problems to find clothes, because he has got a size of seventeen times XXL. It’s impossible to buy clothes in an ordinary clothes shop.
The life of this man was normal until age 14, when doctors discovered him a brain tumor. He was in an operation to remove the tumor of his body, and since then he hasn’t stopped growing. His disease is called acromegaly. world for natural growth. This record was beaten by

>In my opinion, I think that its incredible that exists persons like him, because it seems to me that its difficult that a person grows like this.
But I think that is good (only a bit) because surely he win a lot of money only to be like this.
I'm low in height, but I wouldn't be like him, never.

A film: the notebook

Allie Hamilton go to Seabrook, North Caroline, for spend his summer with her family. Allie, who is a teenager, meets a boy who is from there: Noah Calhoun. When he sees her, Noah knows that he and Allie are destined to live together.
Although she is from a rich family and he is a poor man, they fall in love along the summer. Circumstances and the Second World War separate them, but they remember always each other. After a few years Noah returns from war, and he is still in love with her. But she is committed to Lon Hammond, who is a rich man.
They have got a love history that after a few years, a man whose name’s Duke, reads an old notebook to a woman, who is every day visited by his family in a nursing home.

Although their remembering are dissipated, this history is fascinating for her, and for a few moments she has been able to remember and revive a time when Noah and Allie swore to live happily together ever after.

In my opinion, this film is a little bit sad, because I think is gloomy that all the experiences which they spend together have vanished into nothingness.
But the most beautiful part in this film is when they both live a thrilling love story.

This film is a film which I liked a lot, because I like these type of films (the love films).

SOCIAL NETWORKS

It has only been a couple of years since people began to sign on facebook. So now, if you ask whoever you want, it would be actually difficult to find a person who doesn't have facebook or twitter (it's the same, because it's another site where you can do similar things as on facebook).
What are the advantages of facebook? You can speak freely with all the people you want to and it's better because you can be informed about your family (if they are far away) or your friends, and you can be connected and talk with them and see photos of them.

But there are also disadvantages, what are the disadvantages of facebook? There are a lot of people who are ADDICTED to these type of social networks which are really addictive. This affects especially student people, because of facebook, I'm sure that they don't study the same hours as if they didn't have facebook. So I think it's impossible to go back, where people waste their time on other things which are not facebook or social networks. Every day is more difficult to do it, because each time there are more new technologies  as mobile phones which has got these applications.

WHAT WAS FIRST?

A scientist, a philosopher and a chicken farmer believe they have solved one of the oldest and popular riddles of humanity: what was first, the chicken or the egg? They say that the answer is egg, as reported Friday by the British newspaper The Times.

In short, this is his argument: the genetic material is transformed during the life of the animal, so the first bird that in the course of evolution became what we now call a chicken first existed as an embryo inside an egg.

Professor John Brookfield, a specialist in genetics at the evolution of the University of Nottingham (England), who raised the riddle, said that things were for him quite clear. The living organism inside the egg had the same DNA as the animal in later to become, as "the first living thing which we can safely qualify member of that species is the first egg.

For his part, David Papineau, an expert on philosophy of science at King's College London, agreed with his colleague, the first chicken came from an egg, and it is a mistake to think that the first chicken egg was a mutant produced by parents other species. "It's a chicken egg if its interior is a chicken," Papineau said, adding in hypothetical plan: "If a kangaroo put an egg, and he come out an ostrich, ostrich egg would not babysitting."

The newspaper quoted Charles Bourns, a farmer and president of an organism in the poultry sector, who would also contribute to the debate: "The eggs existed before the birth of the first chick. Of course, maybe they did not have the look of today" .

THE FROG PRINCESS

Once upon a day there was a wizard whose name was Ansem. He had a magic mirror that reflected all the bad things, although they were far away.

-Ha,ha,ha! That's really funny! - said Ansem, while she was looking at an ugly fat man that was reflecting in the mirror.

Then, his friends also wanted to look at the man in the mirror, but Ansem said that only he could look through the mirror. After that, the two friends pushed the wizard, Ansem, and the mirror broke.

The pieces of the mirror fell, and they went around the world. One of this pieces arrived in a little village. In this village there was an attractive prince that found the mirror piece, and his name was Edward. He could see through the mirror a bad girl that gave a poisoned apple to a princess if she ate it, she would becomes frog.

Then, Edward went to find the princess before she ate the poissonous apple. He knew where the princess was because when the bad girl gave the apple, in the background landscape there was a castle where one day he had stayed.

While the prince was going to find the princess, whose name was Bella, she already had aten the apple. When she was becoming a frog, the bad girl told her that only if a prince kissed her, she could return to be a princess. But the bad girl didn't hope that Edward was searching Bella.

The prince went to search Bella with his name faster than ever, to stop the princess from eating the apple. But when the prince arrived, two days later, Edward went to Bella's castle, and the only thing that he found was her family, who was crying.

-Where is the princess? - asked Edward
-Oh, Bella?! She has been missing for 2 days...- said her mother
-I know what happened, but I don't know the solution - said Edward

Then, the prince explained what had happened to him, and he explained what he could see in the mirror.
After that, everyone looked for Bella, well, everyone looked for one frog that really was Bella. After a while, they could see a pond with a lot of frogs. They were calling the princess when prince Edward , who discovered that really loved Bella, saw a little frog next to him that was crying. Edward caught the frog, and when it saw the prince, she feel completely in love.

Edward, without thinking, kissed the green animal, and it became a princess again. She was really beautiful. The prince kissed Bella again.
Both were feeling really in love for each other, and Bella's father agreed to their wedding. They got married and
they lived happily every after.

STEREOTYPES

Normally foreign people have many different ideas about Spanish people. They are true but not always. I think there are many kinds of people, so we can't say about a group of people they are equal, althought they have things in common. All these things that are said about a group of people are stereotype. One of the false stereotypes about Spanish people is that we all know how to dance "Sevillanas" and we all are "toreros" and we all like them. Because "sevillanas" are typical only in Sevilla, and not all people in Sevilla know how to dance them or they like them.
There are stereotypes about our way of talking. We talk too loud and we swear a lot during our conversation. All this it's true. Moreover, I think Spanish is the language which has more swearwords in the world!
There are also positive stereotypes which are true, for example people from other countries like our food very much. It's true that in Spain we have very good food and the Mediterranean diet , but I also think that a lot of foreigners eat very badly in their countries and when they come here all the things are very good for them. We have a lot of stereotypes but I'm not going to continue writing about them because I wouldn't finish today, but I have just written the ones which are most common.

Riviera Maya

Riviera Maya is on the peninsula Yucatán in the state of Quintana Roo in Mexico. Is entirely considered part of North America. Its a wonderful place for a holiday of the all ages. Riviera Maya in known for its magnificent coast and its beautiful dense forest. When we visited this paradise last summer, I loved visiting Mesoamerican ruins. Archaeological sites of Chichén-Itzá, of the New Seven Wonders of the World. The coastal climate and unique culture a fusion of European (particularly Spanish) and Mesoamerican cultures. Major attractions throughout Riviera Maya are coastal and reef aquatic activities dependent on the coastal water and the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System.

Most of the people who live on the Riviera Maya earn a living from tourism. They are quiet people who are proud of the history in this part of Mexico. Between 1,800 and 300 BCE, many matured into advanced pre-Columbian  Mesoamerican  civilizations such as: the Olmec, the Teotihuacan, the Maya, the Zapotec, the Mixtec, the Toltec and the Aztec, which flourished for nearly 4,000 years before the first contact with Europeans. Most people who live there are feature of the cultures mentioned above.
The Riviera Maya is a great place to visit if you like to look at beautiful scenery and meet kind and friendly people. I recommend it as a holiday spot for anyone who seeking sun, sand and fun.
